The Peninsula Museum of Art presents
a juried competition for Artists from the Greater Bay Area

Art In Bloom

As we near the end of winter and anticipate the blossom of spring, we invite visual artists from our community to interpret the coming season with their own personal take on our theme, Art in Bloom.

Entries can be in 2D or 3D.  Fee is $30 per entry, three pieces for $80.

Finalists will be announced by April 1st.  All finalists’ work will be shown during a special one day Art in Bloom exhibition scheduled at PMA for our Spring Gala on Saturday April 13.  Artists selected as finalists will receive 2 free tickets to the Gala.

The finalists' work will be a highlight of our Gala's Silent Auction; all pieces will carry a minimum bid - 50% of the final sale price will go to the artist, and 50% will be a donation to the museum.

Entries will be judged by Christina Chahal (PMA Board Member & Curator), DeWitt Cheng (PMA Curatorial Chair) and Caroline Scott Low (CSL Fine Art Consulting).

First, Second, and Third ribbons will be announced at the Gala.

First Prize is a Special Solo Exhibition at The Peninsula Museum of Art from May 4th - May 11th to coincide with Spring Open Studios Weekend at PMA, one of our busiest weekend of the year.

Accepted artwork from finalists must be delivered to PMA by Sunday, March 31.
