Our new Art Library / Meeting Room has grown to more than 1,400 books on all aspects of the visual arts - books that visitors are welcome to enjoy (but not check out, sorry).
Special sections include Asian art, material on the "business" of art, and books on women artists as well as historical surveys, special focus books, and monographs. (Did you know that "History of Art" by H.W. Janson, the text used in nearly all college art history courses for at least three decades, included NO women artists?)
Dozens of instructional art books and booklets covering many mediums and techniques can be found on the Classroom bookshelves.
The Library is also available for formal and informal meetings, and can be reserved with the Reception Desk docent.
The Reference Library is open during Museum hours: Wednesday through Sunday from 11am to 5pm
